AREA22 - Series 2

Following the success of Series 1 of the show on TV3, Diageo wanted to see if the envelope could be pushed to involve the TV component of the brand more in the live event experience. The client asked us to work with their other agencies, most notably Verve Marketing and Today FM to develop a full stage event which could be broadcast on radio, live on the Sky Pub Channel, on Guinness Social Media and as an edited show on TV3. All of this we did, commencing our broadcasts during the 2011 World Cup, running right through to end of the 2012 Six Nations Championship.


Being live afforded us much more interactivity and saw the introduction of a second programme - Pause, Engage presented by former Ireland and Munster player Frankie Sheahan and featuring exclusive match related content and audience opinion. With Matt Cooper at the helm once more, the Motive/ Playmaker team were able to deliver a hybrid rugby/entertainment format which proved popular on all platforms.
