Bressie's Ironmind debuted on RTE2 last night and created something of a stir on Social Media as viewers responded to the bravery, honesty and resilience of the cast. For four hours it was the number 1 trend in Ireland on twitter and continued trending long into the night and the following morning. Episode 2 airs next Sunday at 9.30.
Playmaker Media's first RTE Commission - Bressie's Ironmind will air this month on RTE2. It's been a long road to fruition for this unique project, a format devised by Bressie, the show sees four brave individuals with Mental Health issues trained to complete a Half Ironman triathlon. Produced by Playmaker's Ciaran O'Hara and Directed by Matthew Kirrane, the series was filmed on location throughout Ireland and in Lanzarote.
The inaugural Federation Of Irish Sport Industry Awards took place on Thursday last at the Smock Alley Theatre in Dublin, and Playmaker were engaged by Legacy Consultants to assist in the delivery of the event and in the production of online content from it. Matt Cooper was MC on the night and content will go live through the FIS's own publishing points in the days ahead.
